Peptide Face Serum Guide:
GHK-Cu + Snap-8 Daily Routine
How to use the LA LAB Peptide Face Serum: the two actives, daily routine, the cream+serum pairing, what to expect, precautions and storage. Cosmetic product — educational reference.
Face Serum Quick Start

The LA LAB Peptide Face Serum is a lightweight, everyday version of the cream's peptide core — GHK-Cu + Snap-8, without retinol. That makes it gentle enough for morning use and sensitive skin, and easy to layer under makeup or SPF. GHK-Cu drives collagen and repair; Snap-8 softens expression lines. Its oil-free, non-greasy texture absorbs cleanly, so it also suits oily and acne-prone skin — helping skin feel balanced and less shiny while GHK-Cu supports the skin's natural repair.

When
Morning and/or night, on clean skin, before moisturiser or SPF. Gentle enough for daily use.
Actives
GHK-Cu (copper peptide — collagen & repair) + Snap-8 (softens expression lines). Retinol-free.
Best For
Daily firmness and glow, sensitive skin, oily & acne-prone skin, morning use, and layering with the Face Cream at night.

The Two Actives

GHK-Cu — Collagen & Repair

A naturally occurring copper tripeptide that stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis and supports the skin's repair and antioxidant pathways. It improves firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality, and delivers copper — the cofactor the skin uses to cross-link and strengthen collagen fibres. Because it supports repair and helps calm the skin barrier, it is a good fit for acne-prone skin — helping fade the marks left behind by blemishes and improve overall clarity.

Snap-8 — Softens Expression Lines

Acetyl octapeptide-3, a topical peptide that gently reduces the micro-contractions responsible for expression lines by competing within the nerve-signalling (SNARE) complex — a mild, topical "Botox-alternative" effect that builds with consistent use.

How to Use

💧
Cream + Serum Routine
A simple, effective pairing: Serum + SPF in the morning (gentle, retinol-free), and Serum + Face Cream at night (adds retinol's overnight renewal). The serum layers under the cream — apply serum first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Serum or cream — which do I need?
They work best together. The serum is the lightweight, retinol-free daily layer (great for mornings and sensitive skin); the cream adds retinol for overnight renewal. Use serum under the cream at night.
Can I use it in the morning?
Yes — it is retinol-free and gentle, so it is ideal for mornings under SPF.
Is it good for oily or acne-prone skin?
Yes. The serum is oil-free and lightweight, so it absorbs without adding grease and helps skin feel balanced and less shiny. GHK-Cu supports the skin's repair, which is why it suits blemish-prone skin and helps fade the marks left behind. It is a cosmetic product and not a treatment for acne — if you have persistent or severe acne, see a skin professional.
Is it safe in pregnancy?
The serum is retinol-free, which is why many choose it during pregnancy/breastfeeding instead of the cream. As with any product, check with your doctor.
