1. Regulatory Status

1.1 Peptides and related research compounds are currently not scheduled for general consumer sale by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA). As such, no prescription is required unless otherwise indicated by law.

1.2 LA LAB Peptides monitors regulatory developments continuously and reserves the right to amend product offerings should South African legislation change.

1.3 Certain peptides may be prohibited in professional sport under regulations of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

2. Research Use Only

2.1 All products sold by LA LAB Peptides are intended strictly for:

• Use by qualified researchers and research institutions

2.2 Products are NOT intended for human or animal consumption, personal use, or any purpose other than legitimate scientific research.

3. Products

3.1 Take serious note that all products sold by LA LAB Peptides:

• Have not been evaluated by SAHPRA
• Are not FDA approved
• Are not approved medicines
• Are not intended for human consumption
• Are not for recreational use
• Are not for use in food, drugs, cosmetics, or medical devices

4. Age Restriction

4.1 You must be 18 years or older to purchase from LA LAB Peptides.

5. Buyer Responsibility

5.1 The buyer warrants that they:

• Are qualified to handle laboratory chemicals
• Understand associated health and safety risks
• Will comply with all applicable South African laws
• Will not use products for human ingestion or unlawful purposes

5.2 If products are repackaged or used in further research materials, the buyer assumes full responsibility for verification, labelling, and compliance.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 LA LAB Peptides shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the handling, storage, resale, or use of products.

6.2 The purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold LA LAB Peptides harmless against all claims, expenses, and liabilities arising from product use.

6.3 LA LAB Peptides reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders at its discretion, limit quantities, and decline service if customer information is insufficient.

7. Payment & Shipping

7.1 All payments are via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Bank details are provided upon order placement.

7.2 Orders are dispatched same day when placed and paid before 12:00. Orders placed or paid after 12:00 are dispatched the following morning.

7.3 Free overnight shipping applies to main urban areas. Remote or outlying areas may experience extended delivery times.

7.4 Shipping is complimentary on all orders.

8. Acceptance of Terms

8.1 By placing an order, you confirm acceptance of these terms in full.

9. Personal Information & POPIA Compliance

9.1 LA LAB collects and processes personal information (full name, email address, phone number, and delivery address) solely for the purpose of processing and fulfilling your order.

9.2 Your information is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). All data is transmitted via HTTPS. Access is restricted to authorised LA LAB personnel only.

9.3 We retain order records for a period of 5 years from the date of order for legal and tax compliance purposes. After this period, records are deleted or anonymised.

9.4 LA LAB will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as strictly necessary to fulfil your order (e.g. courier services for delivery) or as required by law.

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). All data is transmitted via HTTPS (TLS encryption). Access to order records is restricted to authorised LA LAB personnel only. Google Firebase holds industry certifications including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and SOC 3.

5. Third-Party Processors

We use the following third-party services that may process your personal information on our behalf:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC) — cloud database and infrastructure. Google's servers may be located outside the Republic of South Africa. Google LLC maintains appropriate data processing safeguards. See google.com/privacy for details.
• Courier / Logistics partner — your name and delivery address are shared with our courier to fulfil delivery of your order.
• WhatsApp — your phone number may be used to contact you via WhatsApp regarding your order status.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

6. Data Retention

We retain order records for 5 years from the order date, as required for tax and legal compliance under South African law. After this period, records are deleted or anonymised. Age-gate acceptance is stored in your browser only (localStorage) and is not retained on our servers.
